RETURN, REFUND & EXCHANGE POLICY — Downey Camera Shop

At Downey Camera Shop, your satisfaction is our priority. All our professional-grade equipment is quality-checked before shipment. If you encounter any issues with your order, please refer to our professional guidelines below.
1. 14-DAY RETURN WINDOW
We provide a 14-day return policy for eligible items purchased in-store or delivered.

Eligibility: To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it: new, unworn, unused, with all original tags, and in its factory-sealed packaging.

Proof of Purchase: A receipt or proof of purchase is required for all returns and exchanges.
2. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
Because our inventory consists of high-value electronics and precision gear, we cannot accept returns on the following:

Drones & Drone Accessories: Due to the technical nature and flight-logging data of these units, all drone sales are final.

Opened Electronics: Any cameras, lenses, or equipment with broken or tampered factory seals.

Digital Software & Goods: Software, licenses, or digital downloads.

Used or Activated Items: Items showing any signs of activation, wear, or use.

Customer Damage: Items damaged through customer misuse or lack of proper care.

Sale Items: Only regular-priced items may be refunded; sale or clearance items are final sale.
3. RESTOCKING FEES
All accepted returns for non-defective items are subject to a 15% Restocking Fee.

Deduction Method: This fee is automatically deducted from your total refund amount to cover technical inspection and administrative processing.
4. THE RETURN PROCESS

Request Authorization: Contact us at team@downeycamera.com to start a return. Items sent back without a prior request will not be accepted.

Return Method: You may return products by mail or in-person at our Downey storefront.

Shipping: If your return is accepted, we will provide a return shipping label and instructions.

Refund Timeline: Once received and inspected, refunds are typically processed within 10 business days.
5. WRONG, DEFECTIVE, OR DAMAGED GOODS

Wrong Product: If you discover your order is flawed, contact us immediately at team@downeycamera.com with photos. We will provide a return label and ship the replacement immediately.

Exchanges: We only exchange products if they are defective or damaged out-of-the-box. Report these issues within 48 hours of receipt to qualify for a free exchange.

Change of Mind: We do not accept returns for “Change of Mind” on opened products. Please verify the model and specifications before finalizing your purchase.
6. WARRANTY SUPPORT
As an authorized retailer for select brands, we recommend contacting the manufacturer directly for warranty service and technical support when applicable.
At this time, Downey Camera Shop is not an authorized dealer for Nikon, Canon, Sony, or Panasonic products. These products are purchased from us are genuine US-market models; however, manufacturer warranty coverage through these brands may not apply.
To support our customers, Downey Camera Shop includes a 6-month limited store warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. This warranty does not cover accidental damage, misuse, liquid damage, impact damage, or issues caused by unauthorized modifications or user error.
Optional third-party protection plans may also be available for purchase.
