Display & Brightness

The Shogun Classic features a 7.2-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels. It boasts an impressive 3000-nit brightness, ensuring visibility in various lighting conditions, including direct sunlight. The monitor supports 10-bit color depth and offers a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, providing accurate HDR and SDR monitoring.

Connectivity & Recording

Equipped with four 3G-SDI inputs and one HDMI output, the Shogun Classic facilitates live multi-camera switching. It can record up to four 1080p60 individual streams (ISOs) and one program feed simultaneously, allowing for flexible post-production editing. Supported recording formats include Apple ProRes and Avid DNx, up to 4K60 resolution.

Audio & Power

The device includes 2-channel XLR audio input and output, ensuring high-quality audio capture and monitoring. Power is supplied via dual L-series battery slots, and the unit features active cooling with a heat sink and fan to maintain optimal operating temperatures during extended use.

Monitoring Tools

The Shogun Classic offers a suite of professional monitoring tools, including false color, focus peaking, waveform, histogram, RGB parade, vectorscope, and frame guides. It also supports custom 3D LUTs and offers pixel magnification options (1:1, 2:1) for precise focus adjustments.

Build & Mounting

Constructed from glass fiber-reinforced polycarbonate, the Shogun Classic is designed for durability. It features 1/4″-20 mounting points on both the top and bottom, providing versatile mounting options for various rig setups.
