Insta360 Mic Pro 2-Person Wireless System Overview

The Insta360 Mic Pro 2-Person Wireless System is ideal for solo content creators and vloggers. It’s a compact, lightweight 2.4 GHz wireless system that connects easily to a wide variety of devices.

The kit includes coin-shaped transmitters with a 1.22″ E-Ink display. You can customize this display with your logo or other graphics using the Insta360 app. Additionally, the camera-mount receiver features an integrated cold shoe mount, built-in display, and onboard controls for quick adjustments. Together, these components communicate wirelessly from up to 1,312 feet apart via 2.4 GHz.

Transmitters with 32-Bit Onboard Recording

Each transmitter records 32-bit float audio directly to its 32GB internal storage. What’s more, an NPU-powered AI noise-cancelling chip, auto gain control, and a low-cut filter work together to deliver crystal-clear sound. When you’re ready to export, simply connect the transmitter to your computer or mobile device via USB-C.

Receiver with Onboard Controls

The included camera-mount receiver features a touchscreen display and dial, so you can adjust your wireless system on the fly. Use the 3.5mm TRS output to connect to compatible cameras and recording devices.

For even more flexibility, the included USB-C adapter lets you plug the receiver directly into a laptop or mobile device. A separately available Lightning adapter expands compatibility further. On its own, the receiver supports up to two audio channels — however, optional accessories and built-in modes can expand that to four signals.

Multi-Cam and Multi-Person Modes

The Mic Pro system offers two flexible recording modes:

• Multi-Person mode: Route up to four transmitters to one receiver for four synced audio tracks.
• Multi-Cam mode: Pair up to four receivers to a single transmitter for synced audio across multiple cameras.

Keep in mind, Multi-Cam mode requires the separately available Camera Adapter and works only with compatible Sony cameras. The receiver also supports timecode sync, which streamlines your postproduction workflow.

Customizable E-Ink Display

Each transmitter features a 1.22″ E-Ink 6-color display. You can upload images, logos, or other graphics using the Insta360 app, giving your setup a polished, professional look.

3-Mic Array and Directional Pickup Modes

A built-in 3-microphone array captures a wider sound field for richer audio. Choose from three pickup modes depending on your needs:

• Supercardioid — best for solo streams, ASMR, and voiceovers
• Figure-8 — ideal for interviews and two-person conversations
• Omnidirectional — versatile capture for group settings

For an even more professional setup, use a separately available USB-C to 3.5mm adapter to connect a lavalier microphone.

Auto Gain Control and Voice Tone Presets

The transmitters automatically adjust volume based on your vocal intensity, so you never need manual gain control. Additionally, you can toggle between two noise-environment modes depending on your surroundings. To fine-tune your sound even further, choose from three voice tone presets: standard, rich, and bright.

Direct Camera Connection

Thanks to Bluetooth 5.4 wireless technology, the Mic Pro transmitters connect directly to Insta360 X5, Ace Pro 2, and GO Ultra cameras. As a result, you can record high-fidelity 48 kHz audio straight to your action camera for a simplified workflow.

Long Battery Life

Charge the components for just five minutes to add 1.5 hours of use. On a full charge, the receiver runs for 11 hours and the transmitters run for 10 hours. Plus, the included charging case extends total system runtime up to 30 hours.
