Since it allows oversampling to 8K and 4K, the result is detailed and low-noise footage. Frame rates reach up to 60 fps in 12K 2.4:1 and up to 112 fps in 4K modes, depending on the crop and resolution.

Lens Mount and Rigging Options

This camera is available in PL, locking EF, and active L‑Mount versions. The active L‑Mount enables real-time iris and focus control with compatible lenses. Meanwhile, the PL and EF mounts provide solid locking mechanisms for heavier cinema lenses. You can also rig the camera using the multiple ¼‑20 and 3⁄8‑16 mounting threads, which are ideal for cages, arms, or studio systems.

PYXIS 12K records in Blackmagic RAW with multiple quality settings, and it supports simultaneous proxy recording in H.264.
