The Apple MacBook Pro “M4 Pro” 12-Core CPU/16-Core GPU 14-Inch (2024) model features a 4.5 GHz Apple M4 Pro processor with twelve CPU cores (8 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores), a 16-core GPU, a 16-core Neural Engine, a default 24 GB of “unified” onboard RAM, and a default 512 GB onboard SSD. Both the RAM and the SSD can be custom configured with higher end options at the time of initial system purchase, but not upgraded subsequently.

Additionally, it has a high-resolution LED-backlit 14.2″ widescreen 3024×1964 (254 ppi, 1000 nits sustained, 1600 nits peak HDR, 1000 nits SDR, 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio) “Liquid Retina XDR” display, and a integrated battery that provides an Apple estimated 14-22 hours of runtime.

Compared to its predecessor, this 14” “2024” MacBook Pro model is similar in many respects, but has a faster processor/graphics processor architecture, a slightly brighter display (and a nano-texture option at additional cost), a better camera, faster Thunderbolt ports, and better battery life.
